c) Google Adwords Conversion Tracking

For the statistical analysis of our website usage and to evaluate the optimization of our website for you, we also use Google Conversion Tracking. In doing so, Google AdWords places a cookie on your computer, provided that you were directed to our website via a Google advert.

These cookies become invalid after 30 days and cannot be used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on the AdWords customer’s website and the cookie has not yet expired, the AdWords customer and Google can recognize that the user has clicked on the advert and been directed to this site.

Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected with the help of the conversion cookie allows conversion statistics to be prepared for AdWords customers who have chosen conversion tracking. AdWords Customers are informed of the total number of users who have clicked on their advertisement and been redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag.  But they do not receive any information by which users can be personally identified.

If you wish to stop tracking, you can prevent placement of the tracking cookie – for instance through a browser setting that deactivates the automatic placement of cookies in general; alternatively, you can also disable conversion tracking cookies by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain „googleadservices.com“.
